AI activity is everywhere. New tools are showing up every day, individuals and teams are experimenting, and leaders are feeling increasing pressure to show that their organizations are keeping up.
But a lot of AI activity does not necessarily mean an organization is making meaningful progress.
In fact, AI often shines a spotlight on what is already not working. Unclear priorities become more obvious. Inefficient processes get automated instead of fixed. Gaps in trust, alignment, decision-making, and accountability become harder to ignore. And when experimentation is happening independently across an organization, it is easy to have a lot going on without everyone moving in the same direction.
